UNIVERSITY STUDENTS MOCK VC FOR PLAGIARISM
university vice chancellor Prof. Isaac Kosgey is on the receiving end from his students after he allegedy plagiarized a memo from his immediate former boss Prof. Francis Lelo of Laikipia University. The unpopular don is less than a month old at the helm of institution after his controversial appointment. Within the student's circles, he is not their favourite. After his appointment students took to social media to challenge his suitability for the position of a Vice chancellor. Many students were unhappy to his unforseen rise from a deputy vice chancellor from a lesser university compared to the second biggest university in Kenya, the giant Moi university.
The memos that are making rounds on social media are an enough proof that the VC is unqualified for the post and he bought his way up to the position as many students claim. Students are mocking the vice chancellor for openly plagiarizing such an easy to write document without shame. A student is quoted claiming that the "new Moi Varsity VC is a master of plagiarism and that she has a reasons to copyin exams". The mockery comes a day after Moi university was ranked second best university in Kenya and fourth best in East Africa according to academic performanc in the latest world univesity rankings. It is ironical that those who should be campaigning against plagiarism eve the least of it are taking the lead. And for that case a vice chancellor whom I think has attained all levels of academic excellence.
The memo written on 06/04/2018 by Laikipia University Vc was putting on notice all members of saff wh are on unprotected strike and the subject captures it well. It was a warning to them that they would not receive their salaries and would further face disciplinary action. The Moi university Vc copy pasted the exact message including the subject on 11/04/2018. He almost copy pasted his former boss' signature. Students have termed this behaviour as an unfortunate one coming from their Vc and called on him to up his game.
Plagiarism has been a big problem in academia an should not be ignored. It is a big threat! Plagiarism is an offence and hence the Moi university VC has committed a crime!

It goes without saying, the prof,is not up to standards..
