Bear with me a while.
Mr president, a month a go i wrote to you to encourage my folks to register as voters hence add more votes to your basket come August 8. Now I'm disillusioned with what is happening in your kingdom and I'm lobbying my village folks to withhold their votes. If possible not to vote at all. Why leave our 'mjengo' and other side hustles for the sake of voting you back? Why should we wake up at 4:00 am to go vote you again! Simply we are disillusioned. We cry foul day in day out yet there is no one to give us an ear. In a day's time mr. President you'll be touring our village. Last time we came out in numbers. To listen to you s you wooed us to register as voters. We did but it is not a guarantee that they are your votes. You promised us many good things but to date the promises went with the wind. This time round we will not come to welcome you. Instead we will be busy tilling our small pieces of farms. After all the rains are beckoning. Mr president i have always been on your side. Popularized you among my peers. I have lived to tell them of what you've achieved since you resumed office in 2013 but now im not speaking of your achievements any more. My friends are challenging me . It is true. Doctor's and don's strikes, drought and hunger i can stand them again. The only dispensary in our village has since been closed. The only doctor went to town to join the others. VVillager are perishing. My neighbour's nephew fell off fell from a tree. He has a broken arm. It is now rotting . My brother at the university has not attended any class this semester. He was to graduate in a year's time. The future seems robbed. By your powers mr president why don't you solve these crises? You're coming to seek for our votes. Identifying yourself with our language but not our struggles. We say no. Not with our votes again! Mr president the little energy i have i have used it to write this letter. It might not reach you but in your comfort at state house know we are suffering. Yes us common citizens we gave you power but it has been used against us. We care for your second term in office but we may rethink our stand. Bear with me a while
